1999
globalCom becomes the First company in global coverage to distribute Iridium handheld satellite phones across the continent.

2001
Appointed as a global Iridium Service provider and largest Iridium partner on the African continent. Through this, the company was able to leverage Land based telemetry and tracking solutions. The company also expanded to offer Maritime communications solutions.

2004
globalCom LLC is established, and newly formed Amakhosi Satellite Corporation was appointed. Acquisition of Grintek’s Satellite division enabled company expansion into new markets. Inmarsat and Nera were also added to company offering. Later that year globalCom was appointed Nera agent and service partner, as well as awarded the most promising partner award by Xantic and Inmarsat.

2005
globalCom establishes mobile and VSAT based call centres in rural Angola enabling millions of minutes of communications out of Angola per month empowering the mining industry.

2006
Expansion into Angola with an order to design the communications infrastructure for the Angolan census and national voter registration proceedings. United Nations approaches globalCom to assist with respective agencies, in providing a communications infrastructure that enabled communications from anywhere.

2008
Joint venture amongst South Africa and Lesotho governments to provide primary communications infrastructure and solutions between the two countries. A further project in Lesotho included empowering remote dam water level monitoring. Later that year globalCom is approached by large mining corporation to design bespoke off-grid telecommunications infrastructure. Media broadcaster appoints globalCom to assist in satellite transmissions.

2009
Expand into new markets through vehicle asset tracking via satellite communications enabling cross border, remote tracking, and telemetry solutions.

2010
FIFA Soccer World Cup saw globalCom appointed by the South African government to deliver critical communications, tracking and safety over this period. Work was also done with media broadcasters to ensure optimal broadcasting from all remote venues ensuring seamless connectivity and coverage for the Soccer World Cup.

globalCom was commissioned to provide communications for vital Rhino conservation and tracking across Sub Saharan Africa.

Enable Rail Transport company to overcome signalling and tracking challenges through satellite-based solutions. High-profile contract secured to provide specialised communications within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). globalCom expand into the Oil and Gas industry by providing communication and telemetry products and solutions.
